Born and raised in Maryland, Stacy could crack crabs before she could read. She grew up around the family hobby of sailing and small boat regattas. Many happy summers were spent on the lake at the sailing school attached to the yacht club her family belonged to. As a model student-sailor, Stacy definitely never ever snuck into the yacht club bar to use the pink lemonade fountain drink dispenser.

Stacy WHO?

As she grew, so did her passion for studio art and dance. Nights spent teaching toddlers ballet and tap dance and summers studying on campus at visual art colleges took over sailing. In college, Stacy went on to major in Illustration and minor in graphic design and marketing, taking up cheerleading sophomore year.

After school, Stacy moved to the NYC area and got a job designing children’s accessories. A slew of design jobs followed: lingerie, textile, signage, web, toy, and truck wrap design (the wraps were put on the trucks in the sketchiest neighborhood outside NYC, but they were near the best bagels ever).

Newly married, Stacy moved out deeper into northern New Jersey. The moment she had a yard, she was in need of a dog, and a Great Dane puppy named George soon became the most spoiled dog within a 100-mile radius.

Hobbies like baking, growing mushrooms, billiards, and playing with her meatball of a yellow lab are still among her favorite things to do. There are some things she cannot do. Chief among them is watching horror movies, riding a bike, and keeping house plants alive.

Stacy will try most things once (even if she cringes through large portions of it).

It’s a vulnerable and messy process to learn a new accent, but it’s so much fun. Some accents she specializes in are: American Southern, New York/ New Jersey, Baltimore, Estuary, Irish, Russian, Scottish, and French.

Stacy records in a professional home studio with an AT2020 microphone, Focusrite Scarlet Solo Audio Interface, and a Rolls MP13 Pre-amp, on Adobe Audition and iZotope RX7. She has recorded a growing number of audiobooks under her own name and two pseudonyms. She has trained with Elise Arsenault at the Global Actor, completed the Great Audiobook Adventure course, trained with dialect coach Molly Wetzel, and the Deyan Audio Masterclass with P.J. Ochlan. Stacy is an APA member.
